Project presentation and field trip for NGO Dinaricum

Posted - Jun 5, 2018

LIFE Lynx project team organized a field trip for volunteers of Society Dinaricum on Tuesday, May 30th. We presented them the LIFE Lynx project and showed them a good example of cooperation and stakeholder involvement in large carnivore issues on the field. Part of our field trip was dedicated to cooperation with representatives of LIFE DINALP BEAR project from Slovenia Forest Service. We helped to set up high electric fence intervention kit, which will serve livestock breeders as additional help with livestock protection. Volunteers from Society Dinaricum became acquainted with one of the possible ways of livestock protecting. Furthermore, they realized the importance of cooperation between projects and stakeholders, in this case, livestock breeders. The society itself promotes dialogue between different stakeholders, involvement in various projects and also good practices and knowledge transfer. We hope that with practical experience on the field we have contributed a part of the new knowledge for further work of Society Dinaricum volunteers.
