Are you a citizen of Tarvisio or a guest? If you want to go for a walk of an hour or two, the newly established lynx trail is the right option! Starting behind the “Palazzo Forestale”, the trail takes you to two lookouts on top of Monte Palla, where you will enjoy the view towards Slovenia on the one side and Pontebba on the other. Along the trail, notice boards will inform you about lynx biology, challenges of coexistence and management as well as about the LIFE Lynx project. The lynx is an elusive animal, hard to see in nature, but along the trail 5 silhouettes allow you to get an impression about its size.
The trail is a circular route of 5.2 km, with 250 m elevation (type E) and is accessible all year-round.
