LIFE Lynx is supported by FACE -the voice of European hunters

Posted - Jun 14, 2019

FACE is the largest democratically representative body for hunters in the world and probably one of the largest European civil society organizations. They represent the interests of Europe’s 7 million hunters as an international non-profit non-governmental organization.

FACE acknowledges that the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx) is one of the most endangered large carnivore species in Europe, especially the small Dinaric-SE Alpine lynx population. They support the LIFE Lynx project and its efforts to reinforce the Dinaric-SE Alpine lynx population.

They outline the excellent collaboration between different organizations across the partner countries Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Romania and Slovakia and encourage the project team to continue to contribute to the success of saving the Dinaric SE Alpine lynx population from extinction.

In collaboration with the project, FACE will organize an international Lynx Conservation Conference where leading experts on large carnivores will share their experience on lynx conservation and LIFE Lynx project results will be presented.
