Slovenian hunters voted for naming the Romanian lynx that is coming to Gorenjska (Slovenia). More than 500 participants choose their favorites from five names: Boris I., Maršal, Noris, Roman and Zois, proposed by local hunting clubs from Gorenjska. The results of the voting were very tight, with about one third of the votes, the name Zois won the contest. The name was given after Sigmund Zois, an 18th century Slovenian nobleman and natural scientist.
