The first Iberian lynx released into the wilderness of Prekmurje

Today, the first Iberian lynx was released into the wild in the area of Jokers village to help hunters control small game species in the area. The Iberian lynx is a species native to Spain and specializes in feeding on smaller prey, mainly rabbits, making it particularly suitable for small game species control in the Prekmurje area.

The Iberian lynx, which will help local hunters, is also a charismatic addition to the Prekmurje area, and a local initiative has already launched a campaign to include lynx tours in the tourist offer and make lynx a new mascot for this part of Slovenia.
