The artworks convey the story of the lynx

Posted - Nov 4, 2019

In early October, an art colony was held at the home of the academic painter Brigita Požegar Mulej. Artists with the widest range of creative practices were invited. Members of the project team prepared lectures about our project and lynx biology for the participants, we watched the documentary Path of the Lynx, and went on a guided field trip together. On the field trip, typical spots for lynx marking, resting and den preparation were shown. Through these activities, we wanted to bring the artists closer to the secret world of the lynx, present them latest findings on lynx research in Slovenia and the reasons for their endangered status. Artists then spent a week interpreting the lynx and more than 20 different artworks were created.  Art exhibition was held at the Šivec House Gallery, from 12th of November until 3rd of December 2019 and will be transfered to KTC Loški Potok.  Opening of the exhibition will be held on  January 14th 2020.
