As part of the project, an art colony will be held in Radovljica in early October, at the home of academic painter Brigita Požegar Mulej. The colony participants will be introduced to the biology of the lynx, its habitat and the opportunities and challenges of large carnivore coexistence. Under the impression of new topics related to lynx conservation, participants will be working on their artwork as part of the colony until 8th of October. For the works created, an exhibition will also be organized at the Šivčeva hiša gallery in Radovljica, in November.
On Friday, October 4th, we will prepare a public lecture at the A.T.Linhart Library. Interesting facts about lynx, latest findings on lynx research in Slovenia, reasons for their endangered status and project activities will be presented. The lecture will also address the importance of art in communicating nature conservation topics and and the opportunities that the presence of lynx offers for artistic inspiration and the development of cultural tourism in the region.
